Hi friends, on my calendar today is “Positivity” and I feel there are people that may need this, myself included
Baby, “it’s happening worse in your head”.
This is what I say to myself each time my mind starts to fill up with things that don’t matter.
“All these negative thoughts are not real”, it’s all made up by our fantastic memory and our great imagination plus years of experiences, negative thinking and leaning into the negative events of everything we have experienced.
The Habit Is The Problem
We are a collection of our habits. Our habits include the kinds of thoughts we fill our heads with most times. When we become aware of these habits we can create “Counter Thoughts”, to combat the negative thinking.
Your counter thoughts are your conscious response to negative thinking, or negative remarks you have absorbed about yourself.
One thing we must remember is, when we start to think of the worst outcomes in a situation, we are trying to predict the future and that, we must not do because the future is unknown.
Always look at both sides..
See this as an opportunity to retrain your mind.
Thought: What if it doesn’t work out?
Counter thought: What if it works out.
This is not us leaning into toxic positivity, this is recognizing that there are other possible outcomes.
Catastrophizing sends us into panic mode filled with anxiety but not overthinking a situation keeps us calm and present.
Catastrophizing is a cognitive distortion that prompts people to jump to the worst possible conclusion, usually with very limited information or objective reason to despair.
Focus On What You Want!
If we lean into the law of attraction here, we’ll have a clearer understanding on what to focus on or not. “The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes”.
What Do You Want To Attract?
What kind of outcome are you looking for?
If winning or any form of positive outcome is what you want, why would you focus on loosing or the negative things?!
Is that what you want?!
